I had the privilege of attending World MasterCard Fashion Week on behalf of Calgary Fashion. On Thursday our photographer couldn't make it, so instead of taking notes in the seats I was shooting the shows in the media pit.
A couple things I have learned - the media pit is a scary place. You have to stand your ground. Everyone wants to shoot directly from the center, but obviously not everyone can. Don't let yourself be pushed around. I learned that by the third show, and after that I'd kind of figured things out. Also, shoot in manual.

ReplyDeleteI shot at 160 shutter speed with an aperture ranging from 3.4 - 5.6. I kept my ISO on auto and later fiddled around with exposure on Photoshop just to touch things up.
