Walking down Bloor Street

Hullo! Andrew and I went for a walk on Bloor Street today, and I forced him to strike a couple of poses for me because the weather was too good to pass up on a street style photo shoot. Also, I did not have a DSLR with me so the following images are shot with my iPhone. Therefore, since I do not have accurate information about the f-stop, shutter speed, etc., I guess I will write a little blurb about something else we learned in class...
The rule of thirds and balance are obvious in the final images by placing the subject to the left or right side of the (invisible) grid, creating just the right amount of balance between the foreground and background. You can also notice that depth of field is wide, of course, because aperture setting on the iphone is very limited (smaller aperture).

  1. What a great model, and he has an awesome sense of style. I like how the tree in the first picture balances the composition as well.
