Sister Act

Older sisters, whether best friends or bullies, are a big influence on a girls life. Although I’m stubborn to admit it, I often emulate my older sister Tamara when making decisions. Due to this I thought it only suitable to use her as my style muse for a blog post.

Finishing up her law degree at U of T, starting in the summer Tamara’s day-to-day wardrobe will consist of suits, blouses and sensible heels. Although business apparel can be beautiful, it doesn’t leave much room for creativity. Therefore in her spare time - an ironic concept for a lawyer – Tamara’s style is much more explorative.

A combination of thrift, vintage and new finds, Tamara’s look perfectly captures her spunk while still remaining sophisticated. Her white angora sweater was a flea market find, the brown leather bag is vintage, and her peacock feather print pants are from Rag & Bone.

My favorite aspect of Tamara’s outfit was the emphasis on the collar. Her black sweater and gold necklace perfectly frame the collar creating a unique and classy feel.

Tamara's lovely braided chignon is the perfect finishing touch to her ensemble.
