Getting Dressed in the Winter!

How do you dress in the winter especially when you wake up to a fresh bed of snow?  For me I like to wear whatever will cheer me up when I look down at myself.  This morning when I opened my wardrobe I saw this bright pink cowl neck sweater (a new Winners purchase as a school 'pick-me-up' last week) and said "This is the one!"  Bright colours definitely cheer me up in the winter although on days like today where the sun is shining and the snow is glistening (a contrast to the grey cloudy skies winter usually offers) it makes life a little bit easier when it comes to getting dressed!

I used a moderate shutter speed and a wide aperture to ensure that not only the shirt would be in focus but also the snow scene in the background!

This is the kind of shirt that can be paired up or down in my opinion anyways!
Today in class you will see me wearing the student in a belt comfy jeggings look, but in the image below, I paired it with a crisp black trench for more of a bright and preppy look.  Aren't we all dying to pull out our spring jackets!  At lease we can wear them under our parkas!

To wear this shirt for a night out with the girls, I would pair it with some gold accessories, maybe with a statement necklace and some kind of belt.   For what to wear on the bottom, all you would need is a  black mini or midi (or really any style you desire) skirt and you are ready to go!

See you all in class tonight!

Hey class, below are some older images I have shot, and here are some more recent images I have produced.  This was a shoot I did for Local Buttons last summer... who can spot the techniques we've used in class? Who can spot the bad photoshopping? (admittedly, not my strong point...)

Hopefully this gets the ball rolling, happy blogging!
